Dkt. Daniel Mushi ni mtaalamu wa Sayansi ya Nyama (Meat Science) mwenye shahada ya Uzamivu (PhD) kutoka “Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), Norway.
Aliteuliwa na Waziri wa Mifugo na Uvuvi kuwa Msajili wa Bodi ya Nyama kuanzia tarehe 1 April 2021. Kabla ya uteuzi, amefanya kazi kama mhandhiri mwandamizi katika Chuo Kikuu cha Sokoine cha Kilimo (SUA). Aidha, alipokuwa SUA amehudumu kama mwenyekiti wa kamati mbalimbali za kitaaluma kama vile kamati ya Masomo ya Shahada ya Kwanza (Undergraduate Studies Committee), kamati ya Utafiti na Machapisho (Research and Publication Committee) na hatimaye mwakilishi wa SUA na Mwenyekiti wa kamati ya Shirika la Viwango Nchini (TBS) inayohusika na uandaaji wa viwango vya nyama, kuku, mayai na mazao yake (Technical Committee for Meat, Poultry, Eggs and their Products - AFDC 22). Dkt. Mushi amefanya tafiti mbalimbali zilizofadhiliwa na washirika wa maendeleo kama NORAD, ASARECA, DANIDA na COSTECH ambapo ametoe machapisho ya kisayansi zaidi ya arobaini (40).
